VIA defines Frequent Service as those buses that arrive at stations every 15 to 20 minutes (or less) during the day.

VIA’s Standard Service is defined as buses that arrive during the day at stations every 30 minutes, 40 to 60 minutes, or more than 60 minutes, depending on the route.

These buses provide riders non-stop and stress-free service to downtown. Featuring plush reclining seats, overhead storage racks, personal reading lights, and free high-speed Wi-Fi, EXPRESS buses offer frequent pick up during the morning and afternoon rush to get you where you need to go.

These premium rides deliver more comfort, fewer stops and faster service to your destination. Modern stations and enhanced stops feature real-time arrival information displays, art panels and free Wi-Fi.

VIA operates buses that depart various downtown locations at 10:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; for the 12:30 a.m. lineup, buses will not depart until all lineup service buses have arrived and riders have had a chance to transfer to other buses. VIA supervisors and bus operators will be happy to help you locate the bus you need.

VIA’s ART project is a high-quality, modern public transportation system that delivers frequent service through the North/South corridor—from the San Antonio Airport through Downtown and onto Southtown. The system features signal priority, off-board fare collection, raised platforms, and stations spaced farther apart.
