Transfers are free and allow you to connect from one bus to another. Transfer tickets must be gathered when boarding and are valid for 2.5 hours from the time indicated. If transferring from a Standard service to Express Service, additional fare is required.

If you are paying your fare on the bus and would like a Day Pass or free 2.5-hour transfer, you will be given a paper ticket with a unique barcode. That barcode can then be scanned as payment on your next bus.

Reduced Fares for Employers

With Business Pass, VIA delivers 31-Day Passes to participating employers each month. The passes are offered to employees at cost ($38/month) or at a reduced rate, depending on the employer’s participation in subsidizing the passes.

Employers can:

• Subsidize all or a portion of the cost for a 31-Day Pass
• Offer 31-Day Passes for sale on site with no subsidy
